In the Mercantour National Park, the Cougourde refuge is perched above the Haut Boréon valley, on the edge of the last larches or Swiss pines. Between mountain lakes, the environment is exceptional and preserved (particularly rich flora and fauna).
The Mercantour National Park is an invitation to explore nature. There are therefore many hikes around this unmissable stopover point that is the Cougourde refuge. The Caïre de Cougourde, the Trecolpas lake, the Bessons lakes are possible hiking objectives around the refuge. All the routes and summits accessible in summer are also accessible in winter, by ski touring. The caretakers welcome you, with your family, alone or with friends, for a gourmet break or a well-deserved night's rest.
